COME & SEE FOR YOURSELF

One of the greatest invitations given by Jesus was about as simple as it gets. In John 1:35-46 we find the story of Jesus, at the beginning of his ministry, starting the process of gathering his disciples. His first invitation was, “Come and See.”  Then, soon after several disciples had begun to follow Jesus, they also extended the same invitation to their friends, “Come and See.” The significance of that simple invitation was that people were being invited to join them in the same experience they had when they encountered Jesus. 

“Come and See” is still one of the most life-changing invitations we can give to anyone. If your life has been changed by Jesus Christ, it is only natural that we would want the people we care about the most to experience the same kind of life-change. Whether “Come and See” is an invitation to your home, to your Small Group, or to a church service, as Believers that should be an ongoing conversation with the people we meet.

EASTER SUNDAY IS COMING!

Not only is Easter Sunday a special time for us as believers to come together to worship and remember what Christ has done for us, but it also provides you with a great opportunity to extend that invitation to people who may not necessarily attend a church service. A simple “Come and See” could easily turn into a “Yes, I will come and follow you Jesus.”
