THINGS ARE GETTING INTERESTING

When you study the Bible you can’t help but come across plenty of verses that talk about what we can expect as this world (as we know it) comes to a close, and Jesus returns to take us with him, to conquer evil, and then set up his earthly kingdom for 1,000 years. These verses are called “Prophecy”, which make up nearly 1/3 of the verses of the Bible. 

Here is an example of this:

2 Timothy 3: 1 “You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times.”

1 Timothy 4: 1-2 “Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead.”

2 Peter 3:3 “Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires.”

This is exactly what is happening right before our eyes.

The reason I am writing this is that, if you don’t understand the time and the season we are living in right now, it’s easy to become filled with despair and depression. With a daily barrage of unprecedented bad news we need to be encouraged with the fact that it is exactly what God told us would happen the days just before he returns to take us back to heaven with him. In other words, the worse it gets here, the greater the anticipation of what we are looking forward to next. 

Don’t let your hearts be troubled– Jesus has overcome everything in this world and is preparing our home for us in heaven. It is a time to: Be on guard, Stand firm in your faith, Share your faith, Keep your eyes on Jesus, Be encouraged, and “Look up for your redemption is near.”
