MAKING A DIFFERENCE

We currently all have two great opportunities to make a difference in the lives of people in our community, and ultimately in our nation. When you impact one person, it not only has the potential to change their life, but also the lives of everyone in their family and in their world of influence.

BLESSING THE FAMILIES OF OUR COMMUNITY

Our annual FALL FESTIVAL is upon us. This Sunday, Oct. 27, 4-7, we will once again host our Fall Festival which is simply designed to Bless and Love on the people of our community. It is a great way to capitalize on an event that the world around us participates in and use it for GOOD and ultimately for the Glory of God. We call that “Redeeming something not good and making it good.” That’s what God did for each of us when he saved us. Our ultimate prayer is that people attending the festival would feel the Love of Jesus through us, move closer to Jesus, and eventually become a part of a Church Family – maybe even ours.

So what can you do? Great question. You can PRAY!  You can invite people to come with you. You can volunteer. You can show up.  And while you’re here, you can meet and connect with as many people as possible. It’s like being a greeter to 100’s of people.

MAKE YOUR VOICES KNOWN – VOTE!

Yesterday early voting started for us in our community. I personally encourage you to get out and vote. This is one simple way that you can use your influence to impact our community, state, and our nation. Your vote matters! Statistics show that only 30% of Evangelical Christians voted in the 2020 Presidential election. That means that a lot more voting Christians could have had a huge impact in local, state, and national situations.

For whom or what should I vote for? That is a very personal decision that every person needs to take seriously. As a Christian here in the USA, I believe that not only do we have the privilege of voting, but also I believe that it is a great opportunity for us to use our influence to impact our world. As a Christian, my vote should not be based on my feelings, my personal opinions, or even what the media tells me. I should do my own research and vote according to my conscience and convictions that are based on the Truth, Morals, and principles of God’s Word. There will never be a perfect candidate or an issue that is on the ballot, but which one(s) are closest to what you believe to be God’s will, and which one(s) are furthest away?  This election will have huge implications not only for the future of our nation, but for your family, for our community, and even for us as a church.

The most important role you can have in an election – PRAY! Pray for wisdom to make the right decision, pray for God’s will to be done, and pray for peace for whatever the results – personal peace and peace for our nation. PRAY – VOTE – PRAY some more!
